Rift Puck Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 5, 2026

Rift Puck is an Android air-hockey game published by AppLab. It can be played without creating an account. Core match data and customization settings are stored locally on the device. The app offers an optional one-time Rift Puck Pro purchase and may show an interstitial advertisement when a free user leaves an already displayed completed-match result.

Information stored on the device

Rift Puck stores settings and gameplay progress locally. This can include player names entered by the user, wins, goals, match records, level progress, colors, object sizes, table appearance, sound, haptic and accessibility preferences, ad-frequency timestamps, and purchase entitlements. AppLab does not operate a cloud account or gameplay-statistics server for this version. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data, subject to Android and Google Play behavior.

Advertising and privacy choices

An advertising-enabled release uses Google Mobile Ads and Google User Messaging Platform. Depending on region, device settings, consent choices and ad configuration, Google Mobile Ads may collect or share an IP address (which can estimate general location), user product interactions, diagnostic information, and device or account identifiers such as the Android advertising ID and app set ID. Google describes these uses as advertising, analytics, and fraud prevention and states that this data is encrypted in transit. Google and participating ad providers process this information under their own policies.

Where required, the app asks for or displays advertising privacy choices before requesting ads. A Privacy choices item remains available in Settings whenever Google's consent system requires that entry point. Declining consent where offered does not remove access to gameplay. Ads are never shown during a match; no completed result can start more than one interstitial. Rift Puck Pro disables result ads.

Google Play purchases

Google Play Billing processes product availability, purchase state and payment for the optional Rift Puck Pro one-time product under Google's terms and privacy policy. Rift Puck does not receive a card number or other payment credential. The app checks Google Play to acknowledge a purchase and restore access on an eligible account.

Sharing

Rift Puck opens the Android system share sheet only after the player taps Share Result. The player chooses the destination app. The generated result image and text can include the entered player names, score, CPU or Player 2 label, Rift Puck promotion and a Google Play link. The chosen destination then handles that content under its own privacy policy. Rift Puck does not read contacts or send messages automatically.

Device permissions and features

The app uses network access for advertising, consent and Google Play services when those features are enabled. Vibration is used only when haptic feedback is enabled. Rift Puck does not request precise location, contacts, camera or microphone access and contains no chat, user-generated-content upload or social account system.

Children

AppLab does not knowingly collect information directly from children through an account, form, chat or developer-operated backend. The Google Play target-audience declaration and advertising configuration must be followed for the territory and audience in which the app is distributed. A parent or guardian with a privacy concern may use the developer contact listed on Google Play.

Retention, deletion, choices and security

Local settings and progress remain on the device until the user clears Rift Puck's app data or uninstalls the app, subject to Android and Google Play behavior. AppLab does not keep a separate cloud copy of that local gameplay profile. Advertising, consent and purchase records handled by Google are retained or deleted under Google's applicable policies and account controls.

Users can change available advertising privacy choices from Settings when that option is required, reset or delete the Android advertising ID in Android settings, disable Rift Puck sound or haptics, choose what to share, clear app data, or uninstall the app. Network data handled by Google services is subject to Google's security controls and policies. No method of storage or transmission can be guaranteed completely secure.

Changes

This policy will be updated before a release adds materially different online services, analytics, advertising providers or data processing. The effective date above identifies this version.
